Back to the Future

‘Back to the Future’ fundraising – Valley Heartland Grant

The Hub Building Fund has received a grant of just over $53,000 from Valley Heartland Community Futures Development Corporation through the Eastern Ontario Development Program for our project to repair and renovate. This is a morale boost for everyone working towards a return to our former home. The grant will apply to our $250,000 fundraising target and allow us to start our renovations immediately. We are on track to move forward quickly to meet our goal of being back in the building for December 2018.

118 Mill Street building update

We are making good progress on our 118 Mill Street return.  We are fortunate to have so many local experts, professional services and trades from which to draw. We could not do this without them. Our first phase was to conduct a full assessment of the current building condition in order to architecturally plan our purpose-built space but also to ensure that there were no toxic substances that would impede the repair and renovation in the upcoming months. We are happy to report that the analysis for toxic substances at 118 Mill Street raised no concerns. We are planning to finalize our architectural planning and move ahead with the construction phase over the summer to get the building ready for The Hub to move in by end of year.We have created a page here with additional FAQs related to 118 Mill St.
